    Default Do You Know The Whereabouts Of This Brian Bolland Dark Judges Spread?

    Are you a Brian Bolland collector? Do you have this piece of work in your collection?

    Brian Bolland writes;
    I don't think I've posted this one already. No one seems to know where the artwork to this double page spread is. My friend Joseph Melchior, who has been selling my last few remaining bits of artwork for me, is convinced it's at my house somewhere. I seem to remember scanning it in from the artwork for my "Art Of...." book but it's nowhere to be found now. Does anyone out there have this?

    Well, do you?

    At least with his switchover to digital artwork, he'll never have to worry about where he put his PDF files...

    I don't have it, but I don't think I'll be alone in saying that I wish I did!

    too bad Mr. Bolland didnt have all his Killing Joke artwork tucked away in a safe. He'd never have to work again.

    Still think he is crazy person for switching to all digital. Whatever extra work he gets since he works faster now, he kills himself over selling his original art.

    This piece has always been one of my favorites.

    The inking of Judge Fire is outstanding.

    The art book was 2006'ish if memory serves, so that's a 6 year window from Brian scanning it to now, with Joseph definitely having seen it around, and being the staple of the original art community that he is, he would know if that impossible beauty surfaced. I'm hoping for it to be in a stuck leaf in folio somewhere, the alternative is that potentially a guest at the house just couldn't help themselves. It wasn't lent out for the Harrods art display in 2008 was it? I'm sure Rich would remember seeing it there.

    Sometimes going digital isn't just about speed or convenience. Brian told us its easier to see and work on highly detailed images on the large computer monitors when he works digitally than it was to work on small panels on paper. When working digitally you can enlarge an area as much as you want to work on it; when working on paper you can only go so big before you can no longer get a whole page on your sheet.
