Default The Cover To The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Century: 2009

Courtesy of Gosh Comics, London, who are part and parcel of Knockabout Comics, the UK publisher of the League Of Extraordianry Gentlemen. Kevin O'Neill is nine pages away from finishing the art, and the finished final volume of The League Of Extraordinary: Century, set only a couple of years ago, is planned for publication in June 2012.

    So.. what can we find...?

Holy crap that was fast! Compared to when the last volume came out as opposed to the gap between the first two. And then Alan's done with comics forever right? That's what he said originally.

See, I'm not sure there. I know he's said words to that effect, but he's also said he would be happy doing League forever. Certainly I think he's moving away from comics, but I would be surprised if he never writes another ever again.

He probably only meant mainstream comics

Always loved Orlando more as a woman. I'm glad we have a (somewhat) final date, as well.

Nope. Moore said he was done with mainstream comics, but that was years ago. He said he'd be happy doing League stories for as long as he and Kevin had ideas and were having fun.

    Default Massively obvious observations

So the sword has to be Stormbringer, right? Its soul-sucking properties would be a neat answer to the Haddo problem.

And I can't help but think that's the remnants a knocked-down fourth wall...

I will preface this with two things. First, my usual disclaimer that I'm not a huge Alan Moore fan. Nothing against him, just not a fan. Second, an advanced apology if what I say comes across as an insult. I've only read the first LXG collection and seen the movie, so if there were changes in the makeup, it's on me.

Will Moore be using contemporary fictional characters for this team or do the limits of copyright mean this might be the first team with a completely original crew? Of course it's the impossibility of this and my love of crossovers which prompts me to ask.
