Celebrate Stan Lee?s 89th Birthday With A Little Charity

What do you get the man who's co-created everything?

Stan Lee is 89 in one months time. But rather than getting him a pair of socks, another tie or the rights to a Jamaican manga series that he can rescript, he's asking people to donate money to the Hero Initiative, which looks after comic book creators less able to successfully sue Marvel Comics for $10 million.

Stan is using the charity website ShiftMyGift.com to promote this request and donations can be made up till his birthday on December the 28th.

Christmas can be a cruel time for many. Stan Lee, The Hero Initiative and ShiftMyGift are helping making it a better one for some very special people. Comic creators.

Here's Stan's quote: "A gift to Hero is like a thank-you note to every comic book creator who ever brought you countless hours of fun, thrills and unforgettable reading enjoyment. It?s a great way to celebrate any birthday?especially my own!"
