Reporting Posts

As I'm sure many people have noticed, the Off Topic forum has come under attack recently by spammers. I've been doing my duty clicking report every time I've seen one, but this latest batch by 'lolorama' has exhausted me. Every time I report a post, after filling in the reason why it's been reported, the forum takes forever (normally the best part of a minute) to return me to the thread I've reported so I can continue to go about my business (to contrast, it takes normally 2 seconds to respond to a post I write). As the latest spammer has nearly two pages of posts, I've lost the will to report as it would take nearly half an hour to do so.

Two questions then:

1. Is this delay on reporting posts something unique to me, or a problem faced by others?

2. If faced by others, then perhaps someone with a better head for teh interwebz can explain why reporting posts is such a time-consuming process.

not sure why the process was taking so long, but in general you can just do what ended up doing and point out there was a big batch in the report post comment.

We've had some problems with this lately, I'll look for a better solution.
