Default The new Bleeding Cool front page on a netbook.

Splendid job at hiding the content, chaps. Utterly spiffy...

But at least you get to see all the ads!

Seriously though, I like the new look but it also pushes all the content down on my laptop too.

In all honesty I can't stand the new look, it's a step back and looks like a bad blog layout from 10 years ago. The layout (and the font) is horrid on the front page.

Are you saying it won't allow you to scroll down to the post columns?

I don't believe so. I think he is saying that he HAS to scroll down to get to the posts/columns/content. Usually on sites you get something other than just ads when you first arrive.

The new design pushes the main columns 50 pixels lower than the old one, with the same number of ads between there and the top. It really is just the old design cleaned up a little.

On my Android mobile the text from the last article on the front page overlaps the footer.

yeah, mobile is a whole other mess I'm going to tackle a separate mobile theme as soon as I get some of these other issues out of the way.

I have a Droid 3 and a Kindle Fire, and can't duplicate that issue. I have no doubt it exists, but for my interest what android device are you using?

Back to your original netbook point -- after giving this some thought I squeezed just a little vertical space out of the header and I have to admit our bounce rate dropped immediately. So I'll put in a little more work on that soon as well.

I'm on a HTC Desire with Android 2.2 using the built in browser. Most sites play nicely on it, even more complicated sites like CBR, in fact I think this is the first site to not display properly now. Not really sure what could be causing the problem.
