If you like comics, but can't draw, you might like this site

    http://fabricadeherois.blogspot.com/

It starts out in Spanish, but once you pick the body type, you can switch it to English (there's a little American flag in a circle on the top toolbar). You can design images like this:

I found that a basic drawing class. Tracing paper, photoshop , and having actual pictures to draw from, plus lots and lots of practice, can get someone who didin't they could draw comic books to draw my very own comic book alter ego. It took a long time and many revisals. But it was also the first thing I really attempted in that style. It was really helpful that I was drawing basically to scale a copy of a black and white pic I had taken for that very purpose. And using tracing paper helps when you need to fix one small thing or mistroke or even the eyes, or even try something different. I use sharpies now so that I can see through the paper to my previous sketches and use it as a guide for what I got right and what I didn't. If I can do this I'm sure anyone who doesn't go in such a roundabout way can do it too . I hate to see people want to do things and not try to do them. Especialyl artistic things. There are a lot of surprising hidden talents that take some work at first and then suddenly a surprise talent! I got compliments on this from my favorite artists. So hehe all that hard work paid off . Try it yourself! I ended up with this :

Yeah, that's nice, but I've had banjo lessons for a year now, and I still can't get past doing the basic scales.

I had the same problem with guitar, drawing, writing, etc, etc.
Some of us wish we could have the easy life of an artist (don't get your panties in a twist artists - I mean that you really are using your brain the way you wish to, even if you're not producing what you want) it's a fabulous difference that of someone in the arts to that of a wall street banker. It's not to be, plus, think of all the crap talent out there, and imagine tons more of them appearing just because some charming motherfucker talks their way into a job ;-).

    Anyhow, your picture is beautiful.
You are one of the few ... PURSUE!

    [edit]
Just remembered that I couldn't even paint model soldiers/warhammer stuff when I was a young geek, after years of trying. Luckily I grew out of that when I learned how to wash.

Incidentally, this was what I made on the Marvel tool, which isn't as good as this one:

It's, uhm, a trivial waste of time, but this is what Mad_Man_Moon looks like:

Of course I can't draw humans. I'm sure all my stuff from my life drawing course was a fluke. A semester long fluke.
    I can draw monsters though.
