When Emma Frost Employed Industrial Light And Magic For One Scene…

We've just read Inhumans Vs X-Men #0 by Charles Soule, Kenneth Rocafort and Dan Browne. Yes, we waited. Anyway, as well as Cyclops still not having done anything to make him the world's most hated mutant throughout the eight-month gap this issue covers, there was one really weird bit… here's our no-Prize get out clause.

18_11Salesman: Hi, this is Bob , how can Industrial Light And Magic help you today.

Emma Frost: Hi, this is Emma Frost from the Hellfire Club.

Salesman: I am… familiar with your work. In fact, didn't we…?

Emma Frost: I just need one scene creating, of Black Bolt killing Cyclops with his voice, so I can play it on an iPad.

Salesman: That sounds very specific.

Emma Frost: It is. I need to play it in front of other telepaths, so mental tricks wouldn't work. It has to be the real thing. Or as close as. Can you do it?

Salesman: I'm sure we could…

Emma Frost: By tomorrow.

Salesman: No, no absolutely not, that would mean having every employee we have, every piece of tech, every computer bank working flat out.

Emma Frost: You know, I could just make every cinemagoer think they've just seen the most amazing film with the best special effects and all they have seen is a black screen. All apart from the other telepaths, thatis.

Salesman: 2pm tomorrow do you?

Emma Frost: 10am. I'll bring payment then.

Salesman: Oh, you actually are going to pay us?

Emma Frost: Of course, I am, I'm not some kind of monster. Just give me a screening booth and put on the bit with Emma Thompson listening to Joni Mitchell from Love Actually.
