Creating Monsters For The 21st Century – Behind-The-Scenes Of Monsters Unleashed
Marvel's big upcoming event Monsters Unleashed has gotten a behind-the-scenes video featuring editor-in-chief Axel Alonso, assistant editor Christina Harrington, senior editor Mark Paniccia,
They talk about how this is about building monsters for the 21st century, but more than that, it's about increasing the Marvel Universe and having heroes put their differences aside and band together to save the world. They tapped 5 of their hottest artist: Adam Kubert, Leinil Yu, Steve McNiven, Salvador Larocca and Greg Land on the task of creating these new monsters while writer Cullen Bunn is tapping into Kaiju films and monster movies for the story and for the concept of the five new monsters.
Marvel has made each issue 30 pages to allow for big, eye-candy filled art. It will run bi-weekly January through March of 2017.
