Mass Effect: Andromeda Won't Feature All The Aliens From The Series
Mass Effect's alien spieces were so well done. Each was incredibly distinct, with nice racial traits that weren't shared by every indiviual of said race either. From the Hanar, to Turians, to Elcors, to Krogen, I liked a lot about each of them.
Sadly, it doesn't seem like all of the aliens are going to make it to Andromeda. Speaking to Game Informer (via Eurogamer) creative director on the upcoming game, Mac Walters, said:
We've designed the IP in such a way that they can all show up. For hopefully obvious reasons, they're not all going to show up in the first game.
While Humans, Asari, Turians and Salarians are confirmed by way of their Arks making the journey to a new galaxy, everything else is a guess (though Krogen seem very likely due to some pre-release footage a few years ago). There are some new races coming of course, so even if the Elcor don't make the jump (please let them make the jump), there should be something new to take their place.
For real though, Elcors are a must!
