HBO Say A Game Of Thrones Prequel Show Is In Early Talks
Talk of a prequel show based in the Game of Thrones universe has circulated for quite some time, and it is obvious why. The show is one of the biggest brands in pop culture and we are currently on the final stretch for the series.
Well, it seems that the show is in talks at HBO, even though its content isn't clearly decided on. Speaking to EW, programming president Casey Bloys said:
I would say it's still kind of preliminary ongoing talks. There are areas we are exploring, but I wouldn't point to any one and say, 'This is what we're going to do.
I hope that when and if this ever does go forward, it's the right story and gives the core show enough breathing room. I love me some Game of Thrones, but starting a brand new series soon after the first one finishes would be a pretty daunting ask.
