Wait… Prometheus Is Who???

This season of Arrow is supposed to be about Prometheus, a villain created by Oliver Queen's action as The Hood. Last night they gave us clues on who it could be… and then made a possible reveal… but more on that later.

The episode starts with Green Arrow and Spartan tracking Tobias Church's cellphone. Why Prometheus would take the phone is obvious, he wants to lure them into a trap. Okay, he wants to lure them into a warehouse where he left a flaming message: "So it begins". He then goes on a killing spree, taking out people who's name are anagrams of people the Hood killed from the list Robert Queen gave him. This shows us that Prometheus has way too much time on his hands if he's doing anagrams.

The discovery of the anagrams ties into Oliver's old kill list that when the new recruits find out, they are offended. Okay, maybe Wild Dog wasn't, but the other were. And they were shocked to discover that the Green Arrow and The Hood / Vigilante / Arrow were the same guy. Seriously? They bought the whole faked death and a new guy stepped up thing?

Meanwhile, since Oliver is still the Mayor we have moments with Thea Queen, Quentin Lance and Adrian Chase as they try to deal with the serial killer news getting out while they're trying to put on a music festival. And Thea discovers that Quentin is still drinking. Or is he? More on that later…

Felicity Smoak discovers that there are exactly six people whose names anagram to more people on the list. And luckily there are six members of Team Arrow. So they split up and Prometheus goes for the guy being protected by Artemis… who is the one taking the news about Oliver being a killer the worst… and Green Arrow has to go help. Artemis is able to cut Prometheus on the arm… which is great because then they can take that arrow and run DNA to possibly see who it is… I mean they grabbed the arrow right? Before they escaped the empty train that explodes. At least we think it was empty, there were three other cars we didn't see.

At the end, Felicity tells Detective Malone she works with the Green Arrow… I'm sure that will be just fine. She also figures out that Prometheus' throwing stars are made from the arrow heads Oliver used in the past the the police had collected. There by making Prometheus someone with access to the SCPD evidence room.

And we end with Quentin Lance waking up from being passed out or something and discovering he has a cut on his arm EXACTLY where Artemis cut Prometheus… queue overly dramatic music… I have a feeling that most of you provably saw this the way I did. Way too convenient. We're only six episodes into the season, seems way to early for this reveal unless it's a red herring. If he was cleaning his wound, fully aware of how he got it… maybe I'd buy it. But this seems like a misdirect to cause drama for a few episodes.
