Bubble Comics – When The Russians Came To New York Comic Con

Bubble Comics was a publisher exhibiting at New York Comic Con who really blew me away. A Russian publisher who have gathered up some of the best comics being published, and putting more monthly comics out in the country than anyone else. And bringing them to the USA, with a hardcover compilation and digital comics on ComiXology.

Here's a look at the rather fun titles they have, and are making available to American audiences. Demonslayer, Major Grom (which they are also turning into a movie), Friar, Red Fury, the Kickstartered Exilibrium, Meteora, crossover series Time Of The Raven, and their mobile app game Multiverse.

 Danila the Demonslayer is a grim avenger who exterminates fiends with the power of living tattoos,
made from Satan's blood. Together with the cynical renegade imp called Sneak he tracks down and annihilates demons, trying to hold back the infernal invasion.

Igor Grom is a skilled detective from St. Petersburg,  known for his daring nature and uncompromising attitude  towards the criminals of all kinds. Incredible strength, analytical  mind and integrity – these qualities make Major Grom  the perfect policeman. Working tirelessly, he always pushes the matter through, and meets the challenges standing in the way.

Andrey Radov, alias Friar… An heir to the ancient generation  and the owner of a powerful artifact – a cross inlaid with Power gems.  For many centuries forces of evil are trying to get ahold of this unique item, clashing with the Radovs. Travelling through the different worlds, Friar is trying to help every person he meets…

Nika Chaikina, the best thief in the world, is recruited  by agent Delta from International Control Agency. ICA  was created in the late 40's for one purpose – to prevent armed conflicts around the world, and it copes with its task perfectly (for example, the peaceful outcome of the Cuban missile crisis is the merit of ICA). Nika, who was codenamed The Red Fury, begins her most exciting and dangerous adventure ever…  Legendary space smuggler Alena Kuznetsova is always ready for the riskiest gambles. Her explosive temper (that earned her nickname Meteora) and unbelievable marksmanship  are the reason she is never  short of adventures. 

Exlibrium (from the Latin ex libris, "from the books of" and equilibrium, "balance") – a magic stamp which helps the mysterious order of bookwizards to guard the border between the real world and the world of fiction. For many centuries members of the order have been successfully preventing creatures from the works of art and literature from escaping their custody. But sometimes the order fails to do so, and some of the book characters manage to invade the real world, and young geek-girl Lilia Romanova becomes a witness of it… And their crossover series, Time Of The Raven.Find out more… well… right here.
