The Cosplay Of Minnesota's Fall Comicon

Not everyone can go to New York Comic Con. Bleeding Cool's Jason Strangis went to Fall Comicon instead in Minnesota…
Fall Comicon, is a smaller one-day show held at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds Education Building. A few thousand local fans attended the convention and many of them got into Cosplay with a variety of colorful costumes a few weeks before Halloween.
Creators included Minnesota native Dan Jurgens (Action Comics, Batman Beyond), Ant Lucia (cover artist for DC Bombshells series), Norm Rapmund (inker for Flash and Superman/Wonder Woman) and Gordon Purcell (Star Trek).
The Nick Post Memorial Silent Auction raised over $1,000, with bidders vying for rare artwork, vintage posers, and other cool comic book items.
A larger two-day show will be held in the Twin Cities on May 20-21 of 2017. The Minnesota events are put on by the Midwest Comic Book Association and run by a group of dedicated volunteers.
