The Perils Of Ordering The Comics You Love – Phil Boyle Of Coliseum Of Comics Talks

From the recent Baltimore Diamond Retailer Summit, Phil Boyle of the Coliseum of Comics store talked through the statistical ups and downs of a store's success and how to bend them to your benefit.

And he began by telling about why he ordered too many copies of Keith Giffen's Legion Of Superheroes and how that meant he was buying his publisher's dinner.

He asks if anyone really wants a Blue Beetle volume 3 trade paperback?

And points out when he discovered that anything over $29.99 sends people to Amazon.

It's an instructive course in breaking down the realities of a comic book retailer that all publishers and creators should really watch.
