You Can Hear The Luke Cage That Might Have Been

On Friday we'll get to see what Marvel Studios and Cheo Hodari Coker have envisioned for Luke Cage. But ten years ago there was a different vision of Luke Cage being talked about. The rights to the character were held by Columbia Pictures and director John Singleton was attached. He envisioned Tyrese Gibson in the lead role with Terrence Howard playing friend-turned-foe Diamonback. There was even a script in the works by writer Ben Ramsey.

If you are curious to see what direction that version would've gone… or at least here it, you should head down to the Comic Bug in Manhattan Beach, CA on Sunday October 2nd. Development Hell, who have put together table readings of Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman and George Miller's Justice League will be doing the same thing for John Singleton's Luke Cage.

Writer Ben Ramsey will also be on hand and will do a Q&A about the script, though whether it will be before or after is to be determined. For more information on the event, click here.

And if you want to see the reading of Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman (which included Deadpool artist Scott Koblish).

And George Miller's Justice League that included Casper Van Dien:
