A Download For The Cancelled Warcraft Adventure Game Starring Clancy Brown Has Appeared Online

So, this little bit of Blizzard Entertainment history has been floating around for some time, but things just got interesting.

18 years ago, Blizzard Entertainment decided to try their hand at the adventure game genre with a title called Warcraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans. It featured Thrall, bizarrely voiced by Clancy Brown, (Peter Cullen starred too), and was nearly completed before getting scrapped late on. Footage of the title has existed for quite some time, but it seems it is now playable.

Via Kotaku, a download link at Scrolls of Lore, showing off what was completed of the game before its demise has appeared. It is missing some voice lines, as well as cutscenes, but it's pretty amazing how much is there in a playable state. This whole thing is pretty wild, but it's great for archival sake that it exists in some form out there. This really is a cool little bit of gaming history.

I'm not going to download it myself, because legally, I don't really know what the deal is here, but if you want to see the game in action, here is a whole bunch of it in video form.
