10 New Retailer Exclusive Covers From Marvel And Dynamite

s-l1600

It all began with IDW's Godzilla series. The retailer exclusive cover, where a comic store agrees to order hundreds, thousands of copies of a comic for an exclusive cover just for their store, promoting their brand.

Since then there have been so many. Subscription boxes, comic conventions, even creators of the very book itself have commissioned publishers to sell them a few thousand each.

And with the likes of Harley Quinn #1 hitting 400,000 sales, it couldn't have done it without them.

We know Marvel Comics has exclusive variant covers planned for Champions #1, to get it close to that 300,000 copies sold target.

But it's not alone. Marvel have announced to retailers that there will be a retailer exclusive cover for Invincible Iron Man #1 and for Darth Vader #25.

While Dynamite double-down with eight launch titles… Kiss #1, James Bond: Hammerhead #1,  Army of Darkness/Xena, Warrior Princess: Forever… and a Day #1, Betty Boop #1, Pathfinder: Worldscape #1, David Gonzales' Homies #1,  Wolfcop #1 and Intertwined #1.

Exclusives!!!

Thanks to Keith for a typo check.
