8 Ways Liam Sharp Is Happy About His New DC Exclusive Contract On Wonder Woman

Wonder_Woman_1_4_and_5Yesterday, DC Comics announced that Liam Sharp, current artist on Wonder Woman, would be exclusive to the publisher for two years. Which comes with guaranteed work, healthcare benefits, and not being allowed to work for Marvel, IDW or Valiant.

And he's been expressing his joy at the reaction. By expressing humility

I don't believe I have ever experienced the level of kindness, goodwill and generosity of spirit that I have enjoyed today – and I don't deserve it. I'm just an artist. I'm a guy at his desk doing his best, and having a great time doing it. Having SO many people take the time to say 'well done' is a bit overwhelming, and certainly moving. Hard to process!

With much thanks.

All I can say is thank you thank you thank you and a thousand times thank you! I have never felt so appreciated, and it makes the 30 years of work fall away. It makes it all worth it – and some!
If I did what I do for the accolades I would have given up years ago. But neither do I take them lightly.
I apologize if I'm coming over a bit melodramatic here. I don't know how else to be under the circumstances! I had no expectation of such a reception to the news today. I thought it would get a few likes and otherwise relative indifference – which I would have been fine with. Instead what I got has kind of rocked my world.

With emotion.

With alcohol

Looking forward to sharing a few more beers in a couple of weeks!

With alcohol emojis.

With an exemption from Madefire, the digital comic book publisher and distributor he co-founded.

And with a wink.

And with perspective.
