Some Spurious And Probably Made Up Rumours About Doctor Who Series 10 And The Return Of Torchwood

Sometimes Bleeding Cool runs rumours that are meticulously well researched, often using leaked documents, or late night conversations with primary sources who have a burning desire for the truth to be known.

Sometimes, however, we get a bunch of information e-mailed in without any provenance, but we think it's vaguely entertaining and just run it.

This is one of those times.

Welcome to Lying In The Gallifrey…

Grit In The Oyster

An actor who knows what she wants and is not afraid to say it. Which has led to several on set arguments between her and Capaldi regarding script changes. Some feel that Mackie as an unknown "should know her place" and are doubting her return for Series 11, or even lose her sooner. However, the inconvenient fact that she is very, very good and the camera loves her might get in the way. As is the fact that they may really need her to stay another series, because…

Peter's Off

It's an open secret around Roath Lock that Peter Capaldi is going after Series 10, and a new Doctor has been cast. Which might favour Mackie Capaldi not leaving at the end of the series as they'd like a little continuity between Twelve and Thirteen…

Jack's Back. Sack And Crack.

The word is that John Barrowman has filmed something. A cameo that's either in the Christmas episode or something planned for Capaldi's last episode. Also, the Tom Baker scene from the 50th episode will be referred to again, and somehow Jack may be involved…

Hit The Moff

The feeling on the floor is that he doesn't want to be there and has a lack of enthusiasm. There's a sense in the office that the show is rudderless, which some believe shows in the scripts. Depending on your take, this is good news or bad news…

Second Class

Before the first has aired, it is believed that Class will be back for a second series already. Not official but production is running, with the knowledge and planning that it will be back. Filming wraps in a week-and-a-bit with a big cliffhanger. And it wears its Buffy influence heavily on its sleeve…

Touch Wood

BBC Wales are pushing for Torchwood to come back. Barrowman's commitments in America have stopped it thus far as BBC Wales wanted a full series rather than a mini-series or one offs. Barrowman was in town a few months back to talk about it, while filming his cameo, and ended it being non-committal. Expect this show to get resurrected under Chibnall, who is very keen with Eve Myles rather than Barrowman as the major returning cast member, she's already signalled BBC Wales that she'd be up for it. The door is open for Barrowman to make occasional appearances, and the BBC are pushing for a C-Fils meets James Bond approach. Myles would make a fine M…

So. Totally spurious and made-up? Probably.
