Where Have We Seen Those Mutants From The Beginning Of Uncanny X-Men #11 Before? (Or Not – UPDATE)

UPDATE: Uncanny X-Men #11 writer Cullen Bunn writes,

The original story runs below.

Uncanny X-Men #11 out yesterday began by introducing a bunch of unfamiliar mutants.64_03Or were they unfamiliar? There were all sorts of powers on display, devolution, acidic haze, telepathy, superspeed, turning into a big cat…

That's the clue. The big cat. That's Sibercat.

Once known as the Siberian Tiger, and a member of a bunch of Russian rebel mutants, also known as Exiles also known as Siberforce. First appearance X-Factor Annual #1 from 1988.

Over a few appearances, that was Blind Faith, Concussion, Dark Star, Iron Curtain, Mentac, Red Guardian VIII, Sibercal, Stencil, Synthesizer and Ursa Major. Not all of them, and some new members, but enough to be recognised… eventually.

Blind Faith was telepathic and could hypnotise. Looks like he's dropped the dog collar for a beard. And is that Mentac there? Considering he has basically the same power as Ulysses, though without raising Yony Stark's ire, he might come in handy.

Oh and as for the new Hellfire club members…. right to left, is that Mastermind, M, Pierce, Sebastian Shaw, Briar Raleigh?
