John Cunningham, Promoted To Senior Vice President Of Sales At DC Comics

image4We mentioned that DC Comics executive John Cunningham was getting a promotion at DC Comics as Derek Maddalena left the company, and so it has come to pass, moving from Vice President to Senior Vice President.

At the Diamond Retailer Lunch at San Diego Comic-Con, he presented DC's to retailers with his new snazzy title.

John Cunningham was previously "VP – Content Strategy" (and remains so in  the indicia of today's DC Comics). But he is now been promoted to "SVP – Sales and Trade Marketing".

Jim Sokolowski, who presented alongside him (below)  was previously the lengthy-titled "VP- Comic Book Speciality & Newstand Sales". He has seen that shortened to the easier-to-fit-on-your-business card title "VP – Sales" and now reports to John Cunningham.

image6Bob Wayne, who held the SVP – Sales job before Derek and before the DC Comics move from New York to Burbank,  was there earlier representing the CBLDF.

Basically, right now, that's the Diamond equivalent of crossing the streams…

You know, I wish DC executives updated their LinkedIn profiles with greater speed, it would make my job so much easier.
