New Nancy Drew And Hardy Boys Comics From Dynamite At San Diego Comic-Con

Dynamite has a huge news day today, a bunch of announcements of new titles. The first one is for new comics based on the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. The new license with Simon & Schuster gives the comic publisher access to the two 90 year old properties. Nancy Drew debuted in 1927, while Frank and Joe Hardy first appeared in 1930. The adolescent crime solving adventures have sold over 300 million books worldwide.

For those who grew up in the 1970s, there were live-action television adaptations starting Parker Stevenson and Shaun Cassidy as the Hardy Boys and Pamela Sue Martin as Nancy Drew. The show ran from 1977 to 1979

Dynamite's comic book series based on Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys will launch in 2017. No creative team has been set.
