Carol Roeder Leaves DC Comics, Amid Promotions And Reorganisation At The Publisher

13232941_10207859108908472_5624584997148988875_nCarol Roeder has been Vice President of Marketing at DC Entertainment since March 2015, but as Bleeding Cool understands, she has been asked to leave the building. She previously worked in executive roles for Lucasfilm and Viz Media.

This comes amidst a reorganisation at DC Entertainment, which – we hear – will be announced to all staff today. This will also see the exit of the Head Of Sales, according to conversations taking place between DC and business partners.

Currently, three people hold an executive Sales position at DC and I've been told that it's not longstanding Jim "Ski" Sokolowski, VP Comic Specialty & Newstand Sales which would leave Derek Maddalena, Senior VP Sales & Business Development and Dan Miron – VP Sales Planning & Trade Development.

However, a far greater number of people will be hearing about promotions, with increased roles and responsibilities.

DC Entertainment moved DC Comics en masse from offices in New York to Burbank last year, and these changes are a result of monitoring work practices, seeing DC staffers in action and maximising effectiveness.
