Comic Artist Jolene Houser Creates Geek Girls Webseries

Phoenix based comic artist and writer Jolene Houser has created a webseries with Legacy Studio Group called Geek Girls. The series, airing on YouTube's Urban Legend TV and Shorts channel, focuses on what Houser calls "real comic fans who embrace their immersion in their fandom, including Cosplay, Fan Fiction and other interest and their sometimes awkward interactions with 'normal' culture."

The series launched June 15th and will serve as a flagship for other pop culture entertainment on the channel. Partnered with Writer/Director Dana Skvarek II from Legacy Studio Group and long-time Arizona producer Jeff Goeson, Geek Girls began casting in November 2015, and started principal photography February 2016. Houser and Skvarek look to begin writing the second season of Geek Girls in the Fall of 2016, after their comic convention circuit promoting the show has slowed.
