Will We See The Jim Gordon Batman In The Justice League Films?

One of the surprising things coming out of the New 52 was the Jim Gordon version of Batman. Normally Gordon is just a guy in a suit and trench coat standing on the roof of the police station. But for the upcoming Justice League movies, Zack Snyder has cast 61-year old actor J.K. Simmons who we've seen play J. Jonah Jameson, Emile Skoda in Law & Order and Fletcher in Whiplash. You'd think that would mean we're getting the trench coat version.

But these photos were posted on Instagram by U.S. Marine/actor/celebrity fitness trainer Aaron Williamson showing Simmons working out and getting quite buff. Not often do you see supporting characters training this hard for a superhero film.

So will Simmons put on the Bat suit as his character does in the New 52? We shall see.
