Disney Fans Unite: Beauty And The Beast Trailer Breaks Records
The teaser for Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast is exciting for more fans than just me. In fact, it's breaking records! The first teaser broke 91.8 million views within 24 hours of its release, beating the previous record holder for…guess what? Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Disney fans unite! Although, I guess now, technically Star Wars is owned by Disney. However, I understand the record break completely. The music sucks you in immediately…it's goose-bump worthy.
None the less, this is a big deal. Imagine what the turn out will be for the full length trailer?
Emma Watson will star as Belle, with Dan Stevens as Beast and Luke Evans as Gaston. In addition to that comes Kevin Kline (Maurice), Josh Gad (Le Fou), Stanley Tucci (Cadenza), Ian McKellan (Cogsworth), Emma Thompson (Mrs. Potts), Ewan McGregor (Lumiere) , Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Plumette), and Audra McDonald (Garderobe). Quite the star-studded cast.
I'm most excited about Emma Watson as Belle. I'm a huge fan of the original Disney film, which was released in 1991. So it was important to me that someone was cast that would be true to the character. Emma Watson seems like she will be a perfect fit. Beauty and the Beast will hit theaters on March 17th, 2017.
