Have You Played The Hearthstone Whispers Of The Old Gods Expansion Yet?
I'm not ashamed to admit that I am brand spanking new to Blizzard's card game, Hearthstone. In fact, I only started playing last week, but had seen many people play in the last few years. It's safe to say that I'm highly addicted only after a short amount of time. What brought me in, you ask? Honestly, it was this whimsical trailer for the new expansion Hearthstone: Whispers of the Old Gods.
While I was still unaware of how complex the game could be, I was impressed that Blizzard was adding 134 new cards to the game.
Here's what it's all about:
This spine-tingling expansion turns everything players know about Hearthstone inside out. Familiar allies have been corrupted, new monstrosities have appeared, and the Old Gods of Azeroth have resurfaced—spreading their sinister influence and game-changing powers throughout the tavern.
Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment spoke about the game by saying:
"Whispers of the Old Gods adds an exciting new set of creepy, corrupted cards to Hearthstone…"
I won't argue with him there. There is a significant difference in the creepy level of the old cards versus these! Because of the release everyone who logs in to Hearthstone gets three Whispers of the Old Gods card packs free. This probably won't last for too long, but it's certainly a good time to try the game if you haven't played before.
