For Someone So Fast The Flash Can Be Very Slow

If you haven't watched last night Flash… and don't want spoilers. Run away quickly.

Okay, Last night's episode of the Flash continues the streak of Barry Allen being way too overconfident and constantly underestimating the abilities and just don't right nastiness of his villains. He uses the tech he got from Eobard Thawne to make himself go faster…  and I'm fairly sure that is where the jump to Supergirl's world took place, though it was never specifically mentioned. Now with the ability to match and surpass Zoom's speed, he convinces Cisco Ramon to open a portal and let Zoom through. What could possibly go wrong?

Everything of course. At some point Barry has to realize that he can't fix everything and sometimes trying put more people in danger. How many people have died because he insisted on going back to save his mother and then didn't. And his obsession of freeing his dad ended up opening the rifts to other dimensions bring Zoom forward. The more Barry tries to do good the more bad happens.

This has really been a depressing season when you look at it.

I thought Jay Garrick / Hunter Zoloman's explanation of a time residual or whatever it was didn't make sense. (I liked my idea of the dead Jay being Everyman from Earth-2.) And there was no way they reveal for the Man in the Iron Mask was going to be done as a side question. But nice tease by the writers.

But I have one question. Why didn't they shoot Zoom after he gave them Wally? Barry was faster, everyone had guns. Instead they just walked into the other room and let Barry give away his speed. And of course, he then takes Caitlin Snow. For a bunch of geniuses, this wasn't very smart.

So now Barry is powerless once again and still wants to take on bad guys. At some point will he just naturally re-tap into the speed force and become faster?

I still love the show but I'm ready for the season to end.
