Three Pieces Of Fallout 4 DLC Have Been Outlined With Season Pass Prices Going Up

The question of DLC has followed Fallout 4 around since a Season Pass was announced that didn't offer any details about the content. That, and of course, fans want more content.

Well, DLC has now been outlined for the game, and we are getting three in the next three months. There are two smaller ones, called Automatron (March) and Wasteland Workshop (April), but the big one will be with us in May and it is called Far Harbor. Here is how the DLC breaks down:

Automatron

Price: £7.99

Release: March 2016

The mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customise their paint schemes and choose their voices!

Wasteland Workshop

Price: £3.99

Release: April 2016

With the Wasteland Workshop, design and set cages to capture live creatures – from raiders to Deathclaws! Tame them or have them face off in battle, even against your fellow settlers. The Wasteland Workshop also includes a suite of new design options for your settlements like nixi tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more!

Far Harbor

Price: £19.99

Release: May 2016

A new case from Valentine's Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world.  Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost? Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we've ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours.

The upside is that there will be even more later on this year.

What makes this weird though is that the Season Pass, which is currently £24.99 is raising to £39.99 at the start of March. This, to me at least, feels like a way to punish players who want to wait it out and see the quality of the DLC before committing. I'm sure the intent isn't that malicious, but it certainly will hurt players who want to be safe down the line, instead of making a bet. It will be interesting to see that play out.
