Meet Armstrong…

Valiant's been previewing the cast of characters behind the upcoming A&A: The Adventures of Archer & Armstrong series by Rafer Roberts and David Lafuente all week long and now we're finally into the leading players. Presenting…Armstrong!

Born 6,000 years or so ago in ancient Sumeria, Armstrong is one of Valiant's three immortal brothers. (The other two being the Eternal Warrior and Ivar, Timewalker.) After several millennia of drinking, carousing, and adventuring his way through history, several religious orders began to believe that the Armstrong was an undying personification of wickedness itself – perhaps even the devil himself. Fast forward a few more decades and one of these so-called cults, now calling itself The Sect, assigned young Obadiah Archer to kill Armstrong after years of training and discipline. That didn't work out so well…and, after realizing that Armstrong was more carefree than he was calculating, they decided to join forces to bring down The Sect once and for all.

Which just about brings up to date…until Roberts & Lafuente get ahold of them for A&A: The Adventures of Archer & Armstrong #1 on March 16th. Valiant's tagline for the series is "get smashed or be smashed" and, by the looks of this Archer & Armstrong #3 cover, they're seems to be an emphasis on the former:
