The London Arcade Games That Bite Back

Last night, I was a paparazzo stalking celebs, went one on one against a slobbering devil dog, was frisked in a very personal fashion, was reincarnated in a photo booth and won a Nobel Prize.

That's because I was at Novelty Automation at Holborn, hosting a series of satirical arcade games, mostly mechanical rather than video, but are truly works of art from Tim Hunkin and friends. They have appeared around the country in different times and places, but have found a home here, togetehr, for a time.

It's not cheap, if you want a decent experience, you'll want to spend £20-£30 a head (or at least, I did), but the games will stay with you. From disposing of nuclear waste, to a photo booth that insists on taking the worst photos of you possible through a variety of distraction methods and for me, the real life thrill of stalking a celebrity mansion with a camera drone.

See how keen I get.

And then I get my just desserts…

Here's a brief glimpse of some of the games and experiences on display. They will stay with you… especially the anal probe.
