Thirty-eight Best Comics and Best Graphic Novels lists for 2015. Everyone mentioned gets a tick. So who gets the most ticks? Which comics are the Best of the Best of 2015?

This year, it cannot be denied that the critically acclaimed comics were, mostly, written by, drawn by or starred women. Last year Multiversity topped the lists. This year…

Tying for the top, with 15 mentions, are the web comics-turned-graphic collections Nimona by Noelle Stevenson and Step Aside Pops by Kate Beaton.

With 13 mentions, and the first single print-first comic in this list is The Wicked & The Divine by Kieron Gillen, Jamie McKelvie, Colin Wilson and a few friends along the way, including Tula Lotay and Brandon Graham.

With 12 mentions is Bitch Planet by Kelly Sue DeConnick and Valentine De Landro.

With 11 mentions tied is Ms Marvel and Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.

10 mentions for Sandman Overture, Killing & Dying, Saga, Batgirl and March Book Two.
