A Comic Show – B-Boy Bromance & Paper Girl Power!

Aaron Haaland writes,

Hey Fandom! It's the first Wednesday of the new year, and we can officially sell the Marvel books meant for next week early! It's a strong showing for female lead titles this week with Bitch Planet, Paper Girls, and an A-Force set in the main Marvel universe. Doctor Strange pukes…like a lot. Spider-Man & Deadpool #1 is the return of Joe Kelly's brand of humor. A more mature no nonsense Parker works even better with the all nonsense Wade. Bunn's Uncanny X-Men is a decidedly darker take on the mutant super group, more Suicide Squad without the handlers or Secret Six. And Swamp Thing by Len Wein and Kelly Jones is the classic take on the character, a muck-encrusted mockery of a man. It's a great horror take on Swampy by two horror masters, but it's not the Alan Moore though Charles Soule take that I love so much.

And then there's Star Wars! Thanks to a screw up by the printers, Marvel, Diamond, or Jaxxon…we got both parts 5 and 6 of Vader Down this week! It was awesome! Star Wars #14 ended on a big cliffhanger, and then Darth Vader #15 is already here to tie it all up! And Darth Vader volume two shipped. The force is strong in this week!
