Dundee University Looks To Appoint A Director Of Comic Studies

comics1Dundee is the British capital city for comic books. Home of DC Thomson, publishers of the Beano, Dandy, the Broons and Oor Wullie.

The local Dundee University began a masters degree in comics five years ago, joining a number of undergraduate courses, which have proved rather popular for the college and has expanded their role in the medium and industry. And have announced the need for a full-time lecturer in Comic Studies for their English and Film Studies Programme. Not only to work with students at the university, but to work with the Scottish Centre for Comics Studies and The Dundee Comics Creative Space at the university.
