It would be hard to not come across the news about how successful Klaus has been. In fact, the first issue went into a third printing. There's a very good reason for that. It's simple amazing. From BOOM! Studios, written by Grant Morrison with art by Dan Mora, Klaus reimagines one of the biggest cultural myths in history, and does it in a way that will keep you turning those beautifully illustrated pages.

I was blown away by the unique spin on the classic Santa Claus tale when I first picked it up, and anxiously awaited for another issue to arrive. Well, I'm here to tell you that the second is just as good as the first, if not better. Klaus is stepping into his traditions in this issue and makes a special delivery to the villagers. The children are as cheery as can be when they discover the surprise toys in their homes. However, the ruler of the town doesn't feel quite the same way.

Morrison writes a brilliant script, with not one wasted moment. Every bit of dialogue throughout ties in flawlessly. That, in combination with Mora's art puts forth a comic that is incredibly memorable. This obviously comes just in time for the holiday, and as I was reading I felt warm and joyous feelings. Of course don't get me wrong, Klaus is also action packed. He's not the Santa you would typically picture, especially when he's beating up his enemies. I find Klaus to be refreshing, and look forward to seeing how things move forward. The only thing I worry about is the appeal it will have after the initial "Santa" set up has faded away. However, Morrison seems to be laying the foundation for some other interesting characters to play a part.

Don't miss out on this epic tale! Be sure to pick up Klaus #2 this Wednesday.
