Is An Assassin's Creed Collection On The Way?

There are a lot of games in the Assassin's Creed franchise now. With an Assassin's Creed game every year, (sometimes even more!), the series has really garnered quite a large back catalogue.

That's why this piece of news is quite interesting. As pointed out by NeoGAF, apparently Ubisoft have gone out of their way to acquire assassinscreedcollection.com. This move could very well hint at some kind of package that brings all the games together in the near future.

However, it could also indicate next to nothing. This could just be Ubisoft acquiring a domain to stop it being misused or 'just in case' the publisher decides to pull the trigger at some undefined point in the future.

I'll tell you what though. Packaging all of the Assassin's Creed games, or at least a portion could make jumping into the series much more manageable. I'd be all for that.
