Mehcad Brooks Recording ADR For Supergirl

You see a scene like in last weeks Supergirl where James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) pushes Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) out of the way of a car as it hits a fire hydrant. He then turns and asks her if she is okay. Between the sounds of the accident, water spewing everywhere the odds of the microphone picking up a clean sound of his voice is slim. Hence the need for ADR or Automated Dialogue Replacement. Here Brooks shows us behind the scenes of doing ADR for the scene.
