A Heartbroken Quadrant

cov1Joanna Blitch writes,

The Galaxy is 100,000 light years wide. Bring snacks – and a special offer for Bleeding Cool readers!

Heartbreak Quadrant is the debut comic from artist and illustrator Barrett Stanley. Featuring gorgeous linework and vivid color, Stanley's 80's-influenced style complements his unique, funny writing style.

20 years after the destruction of Earth by unknown aggressors, two human girls travel the galaxy in an alien ship, making their living buying and selling highly collectible Earth ephemera. When they run into a double-crossing business associate and his beautiful hired gun, it looks like their luck has finally run out. But Ida, a nano-programming prodigy, and Kumi, a highly-trained hand-to-hand combatant, won't go down without one hell of a fight. Their deeply loyal friendship is at the heart of this witty, tense story.

A recent staff pick on Kickstarter, the project is nearly halfway to its funding goal in less than a week. Stanley is now offering a special "Bleeding Cool" promotion for the remainder of the campaign: anyone pledging at the $15 level or higher will receive a free 3" x 3" hand-drawn character sketch! (Remember to send him a message once you've pledged mentioning Bleeding Cool.)
