NYCC '15: Don't Date A Blogger And Take Them To DC Comics' Party…?

20151007_190546Freelancers attending with "plus ones" for Friday night's DC Comics party in New York, for New York Comic Con, were asked this week if their guests had blogs, or were journalist-types.

If the answers was yes, those plus ones were then removed from the invite.

True, there have been embarrassing scenes in the past, when one prominent and critical blogger attended such a party as a plus one of a freelancer and were harangued in a corner for turning up and eating the delicious hors d'oeuvres….

But the word is instead that they may have decided to show off something exclusive to the assembled loyal DC Comics throng. But it might also stop any awkward questions being put to… well, awkward employees.

I'll keep my ear out.

Oh, and with Frank Miller at the show, signing at the Dark Horse booth on Saturday, is there any stretch to think that he'll be a surprise guest at this morning's Dark Knight III panel?
