PlayStation 4 Gets That Price Drop In The US And Canada
There has been a lot of noise about a possible PS4 price drop recently. From Target letting it slip to even the Xbox boss predicting it, the possibility has become more and more probable.
It's no longer just probable either. It's happening. The PlayStation 4 is getting a $50 price drop in the US, effective tomorrow. This will bring the console from $399.99 to $349.99. Canada is also seeing a price drop, dropping the price from $449.99-$429.99. No news on the UK yet.
I'm actually a little surprised by this. The PlayStation 4 is still selling very well, so I don't think it needed to see this drop. Although, the Xbox One already cheaper and has a slew of exclusives coming this holiday period. The PlayStation 4 on the other hand does not, so perhaps it is a way of staying competitive. We will have to see how this plays out in the charts.
