Stan Lee Gave Trump Presidential Advice, And Inspired Director Of National Intelligence

2014 Alamo City Comic Con - Day 1

We know that Stan Lee was heavily involved with Hillary Clinton. Well, it looks like he has been doling out sage advice to her current most likely rival in the 2016 Presidental Election.

At the Alamo Comic Con, Stan Lee told the audience that while he ha d no plans to stand for President, he told Donald Trump, "Donald, you're okay, just tone it down a bit."

Advice Trump seems to have ignored.

But is that wise? At Wednesday's National Security and Intelligence Summit, head of the US Intelligence Community James Clapper, quoted Stan Lee's "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" from Spider-Man. Telling the summit "I feel like I have a personal connection to the webslinger" he saw his start in intelligence being linked to buying the first Amazing Spider-Man coic in 1963. Comparing his strength to Spider-Man after working out lifting weights, he stated that both Spider-Man and the intelligence community share a genius-level intellect from "mathematics and cryptology, to denial and deception, and even rocket science". That people demand spider-sense from them – but that the films being split between Marvel and Sony reflect the fracturing of government over intelligence. The allegories really did get that tortuous, but Sputnik reminds us, people like Edward Snowden see Clapper more like Dock Ock…

"The oath that I remember is James Clapper raising his hand swearing to tell the truth and then lying to the American public," Snowden said.
