ComicsPRO Wants Comic Shops To Join Invader Zim, Rick & Morty On Local Comic Shop Day, November 8th

Local-Comic-Shop-Day-JoeComicsPRO, the trade organization of comic book retailers, has announced that registration is now open for retailers and publishers to join Local Comic Shop Day.

Bleeding Cool has reported on this promotion before, timed to coincide with Small Business Saturday, on November 28th, and learning lessons from the In Store Comic Con Kick-Off, it will see stores selling special merchandise and showing off previews to upcoming comics.

Oni Press is the first publisher on board, for which you can probably expect plenty of Invader Zim and Rick & Morty activity to draw the punters in. And you'd be right. Retailers can order exclusive limited covers of Invader Zim #1 and Rick & Morty #1, as well as a variant launch edition of Exodus: The Life After #1. The day will also see a number of launch issues ahead of their normal release date.

Retailers and publishers are encouraged to contact  ComicsPRO Executive Director Marco Davanzo at marco@comicspro.org and find out more at www.localcomicshopday.com.
