Actress Ferguson Chooses To Hop A Train Over Gambit

Rebecca Ferguson as Elizabeth in The White QueenMission Impossible: Rogue Nation actress Rebecca Ferguson is in negotiations for a role opposite Emily Blunt to star in the adaptation of Paula Hawkin's novel The Girl On The Train. The book was a publishing phenomenon that is being likened to Gone Girl for its thriller elements.

Ferguson had been in consideration along with Spectre star Lea Seydoux and Mad Max: Fury Road's Abbey Lee for Belladonna, the female lead opposite Channing Tatum in the X-Men spinoff film Gambit. But in going for The Girl On The Train, Ferguson had to take herself out of consideration for Gambit.

Ferguson has previously appeared in the Starz series The White Queen as well as Hercules opposite of Dwayne Johnson.
