Where Does He Get Those Wonderful Toys? Batman #43 SPOILERS

There is much to unpack in this week's Batman. We get a better look at the new bad guy. An Alfred that, after a little bit of will-they-won't-they panel placement, sees to definitely now be hand-free. Our theories about what happened to Bruce seem to be on the money. And there's even the decision to potentially kill off a character who has rather a big following in other media, demonstrating, if you needed convincing after the Robo-batsuit, that Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo can do anything they bloody well like on this comic.

But we also get the beginning of a storyline we saw in the future episode of Detective Comics #27, set centuries away, by Snyder and Sean Gordon Murphy.

And again with the very first issue of Future's End #1 set five years from now.

We see the very beginnings right here, as Scott leads up to a storyline he is clearly still holding as continuity in his head.

But don't worry, its not just Bruce who had the bizarre gadgets. It's also Commissioner Gordon Batman. Who has a gun that fires, well…

…seriously, they can do anything.
