Speculator Corner: Divinity Strikes Again in Next Week's Imperium #7

IMPERIUM_007_VARIANT_TANDoes lighting strike twice? Valiant found themselves with quite the hit on their hands earlier this year with Divinity – a four-issue prestige format limited series by Matt Kindt and Trevor Hairsine that introduced Valiant's first major new character since the company's 2012 relaunch.
Even after five sold-out printings, a sixth one dollar reprint announced for the new year, and a $9.99 TPB currently on stands, the first issue, Divinity #1, continues to fetch high sums on eBay with recent sales reaching $38 for a raw 1st print,  $130 for a CGC first print and $148.49 for a CGC second print and $290.60 for a raw 1:40 variant.
Shortly after the series' fourth and final issue hit stands, Valiant announced a follow-up – Divinity II – from the same creative team for April 2016. Less publicized, however, has been the character's first follow-up appearance in the wider Valiant Universe…coming in the pages of next week's Imperium #7 by Joshua Dysart and Scot Eaton.
As pictured in the preview below, the Imperium appearance appears to pick up the immediately after the events of the first Divinity series… Could this be the next Divinity issue to start heating up in the after market? Based on current sales of Imperium, it is likely that demand will outstrip supply…so keep your eyes peeled for a copy in a store near you next week…
