Black Widow Is Just The Worst Person Alive (Spoilers)

Today's final issue of the Black Widow series (ahead of an expected new All-New All-Different relaunch) asks the question, can doing good absolve you of doing bad?

Because Black Widow used to be a Russian agent. And she did some very bad things. Far more than she was actually supposed to.

Because even when she is ordered to kill two Cubans who are looking to defect to Russia with Cuban secrets, because the Russians don't care and want to make sure the Americans don't grab them…

She may spare the child as ordered to, but she just goes and kills everyone else around her, just to ensure there is no emotional attachments left. She is shooting parts of herself away, which could be a for of psychotherapy, aside from the fact that she is also shooting other people dead in order to do that.

But there is one scene that will stand out. Because while, in entertainment terms, we are all fine with grown adults getting slotted in the head, their dead bodies slumping to the ground, spurting blood in increasingly random patterns, when it comes to animals, it's a different story. While millions of humans live in abject poverty, animal charities get for more monetary support from the average joe.

So killing humans, innocent humans in many cases, is one thing.

This is something else.

Yup, the Black Widow just killed Garfield.

Don't worry, she, the people she also tried to save, and their cat, also all die at the end of the world. So there's that. She's not the worst person, she'd dead like everyone else.

But when the Marvel Universe gets remade, in whatever form, and continuity is preserved as has been promised, will Black Widow still be a cat killer?
