From Nobrow and Flying Eye, comes 101 Artists To Listen To Before You Die by Ricardo Cavolo. The project is a rhapsodic recall of a lifetime of music fandom in the form of an illustrated diary. 101 Artists To Listen To Before You Die sees Ricardo Cavolo drawing his way from Bach to Skrillex in the intoxicating, colorful style that has taken European galleries and the world's tattoo parlors by storm.

Cavolo shared his motivation behind the project by saying:

I did want to bring together 101 musicians and bands which, throughout my life and still today, have helped me in some way. We enjoy music, but we also use it. And this is what I want to show: what each artist gives me; the situations in which I listen to one or to another; how this group or that helps me to resolve problems. Yes, my musical diary.

Looking over the images you can definitely understand why Cavolo's work has been inspiration for a lot of people's tattoos. It has a unique, rough, quirky charm that enhances the way these musicians are viewed. The book looks like a great buy. 101 Artists To Listen To Before You Die will hit stores on September 15, 2015.
