From IDW, Strange Nation Pits The Determination Of A Writer Against A Conspiracy

From IDW Publishing, comes a story about a journalist's wrong turn into a dangerous conspiracy. Written by Paul Allor (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time), with art by Juan Romera, Strange Nation follows the story of main character Norma Park. After she uncovers the truth about a conspiracy theory involving aliens, Sasquatch, and doomsday cults, she finds herself fired from her prestigious newspaper. Now working for a supermarket tabloid Strange Nation, Norma continues to be determined to share her knowledge with the world.

Writer Paul Allor shared his feelings on the book:

Strange Nation is a book about the search for truth, and how much you're willing to sacrifice for it. But, you know, in a fun way. Juan and I were so proud to put Strange Nation out through Monkeybrain Comics, and are absolutely thrilled that the print edition has found a home at IDW, a publisher known for awesome and inventive comics that combine genre action with true heart.

Ryan Ferrier, writer of D4VE added:

Strange Nation is one of the best comics of the year. Paul and Juan have managed to weave the perfect blend of emotion, intrigue, and excitement into a tale of suspense; one that explores both true humanity, and the great unknown. Pulse-pounding on every page, and a true measure of storytelling within the comics medium.

I'm definitely going to be biased with this one because I'm a writer. So, as a writer I understand the determination to share your knowledge about what every topic your passionate about, no matter what anyone thinks. It sounds like Paul Allor and Juan Romera have a gripping bit of information to draw readers in. I look forward to meeting Norma and learning more about her journey thus far, and her determination to spread her words. Strange Nation arrives in stores this August.
