Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Gets October Release Date

The end of this year is really stacking up with game releases as the end of the year tends to do. That Christmas rush is a real driving force for most developers and publishers to get their wares out.

That's why it shouldn't be too surprising to see Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege plopping itself right in the October window. The publisher announced that the game would be launching on October 13th. That's a pretty good spot for it as it will be one of the first AAA releases of the season and will steer clear of Call of Duty and other big titles in the later weeks.

Alongside that Ubisoft also announced several editions of the game. In a press release, they shared these three versions of the game would be purchasable.

·         The Art of Siege Edition, available for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® Siege, includes the full game, a collector's box, a Gold Skins Pack for all in-game weapons and an exclusive 120 page Tactical Guide. This high quality guide includes every single key element of the game – detailing each Counter Terrorist Unit, Operators, weapons, and maps with the highest level of detail and statistics. All this content has been created with the development team and core gamers' advice, giving you the most effective results in the field.

·         The Gold Edition which includes the Standard Edition and the Season Pass*.

·         The Tactical Elite Edition, a very limited edition available exclusively on the Uplay Shop that will include both Art of Siege Edition and Season Pass.

I'm hoping the best for this game. A hardcore, destructible team based shooter sounds like it could really find its niche in the market. I'm rooting for them to pull this one out.
