The Year Of The Goat

The Pitch: The Year is 2015. According to the Chinese Zodiac, this is the Year of the Goat which calls for a celebration of promise and prosperity. It was wrong!

Tom Spellman Jr writes,

Welcome to the Walking Dead meets the Planet of the Apes…except with a shit load of demonic goats.

The story begins as swarms of black birds fill the sky, and goats across the world turn demonic, one by one. Their prey? Whatever humans cross their path. In issue #1, goats begin their rise in three different locations within the United States and is intended to be an ongoing comic book adventure.This comic is intended for mature audiences only.

The Goatpocalype has begun!

The comic is begin drawn by Rafael Chrestani who drew my comic Time Stop. Time Stop was successfully funded on Kickstarter and is in production. Year of the Goat is a black and white story that will be shaded in red by John Rudwall. I love black and white comics but there was two much blood in this story to not add red to the pages. John will also do the speech.

There are some bad-ass rewards for this Kickstarter campaign. There are the usual rewards, print and pdf copies of issue #1, and art commissions. But Goats will feature a reward tier that offers a sweet front and back printed tee shirt and another that offers a customized demonic goat figure.

Whereas Time Stop is a thoughtful, adventure story, goats is a bloody mess! Though it may seem like a horror slasher comic, there is actually a bigger story going on that I hope to get to in future issues. These goats are possessed and the way the choose to repay their human counterparts isn't very nice. Let's just say there's a lot more going on than head butting.
